How to use SkyDock and sky3ds+ V140 to get pirvate header from Monster Hunter XX for online play?

Maybe most of players have known, recently, sky3ds team released a new product, named "SkyDock". This is an adapter worked with sky3ds+. It enable you to get the private header from your original 3DS game card and play online games properly.

SkyDock Features:

•  Build your own private header file for online game play (the original 3DS game card needed);
•  Read the original game saved data directly;
•  Dump any original game card to .3DS file format

First, you need to update your sky3ds+ to the latest firmware V140
Copy the file V140 firmware.bin to the FAT32 microSD card, and insert to sky3ds+, then connect with PC. The update is finished after the red light flash about 30 seconds. It's same as the method of firmware upgrade. 

How to use?
 1. Insert the updated sky3ds+ and 3DS original cartridge to the slot of conventer. Then connect sky3ds+ to your PC with USB cable, there will flash blue light, and a new savekeys.txt file will be created automatically in microSD card, this is used for saving private header.

 2. Press orange button, the red light will flash for a seconds, then two files (.cfg and .sav) will be created in microSD card, it's readed from the original cartridge. The save date can be used directly with sky3ds+

 3. Press orange button again, don't release until the red light flash. It will keep some minutes then turn to green. After the green light disappear, a new .3ds file will be created automatically in microSD card, that is the game rom from original cartridge.
PS: The flash time depends on the game size, the bigger game, the longer time, please wait with patience. Don't remove the USB cable when the processing, or else the rom will can't be load.
Note: The created.cfg file only support the current game rom connected to the Internet. If you want to ensure the other games can also be connected to the Internet, please open savekeys.txt file, then copy GAMESAVE_KEY to settings.txt file.

Gateway 3ds A9LH Installer released today , GATEWAY 4.0B PRIVATE BETA #2 !

Awaiting for about 15 days , the gateways finally get the answer of A9LH released . and i firstly Tested on my a9hl set. Works fine, I not using gateway 3ds setup. I still follow the old guide. Can use cfw with gateway 3ds cards together !

How to use sky3ds+ to play 4gb rom issue ?

Sky3ds+ has been released for about a week , but  I read the details. fast32 support max 4gb file. Is that 4gb rom file is like 4gb++. so no way to transfer to the fat32 micro sd currently ??

The answer is :  You need a 3rd party tools to trim the rom(larger than 4GB) at the moment !

So how to make is happen ?  See below the guide .

1.  Download a 3rd party tools from here

2. open the 3DSExplorer.exe files and insert the 3ds game rom to unzip .
3.Then click : CCI , you will see the 3ds game rom has become less than 4gb .

Notice : as sky3ds+ micro tf card formated 32 FAT ,So the almost volume is 4 gb ,so this is why we need to transffer the games rom to a smaller .

How to use sky3ds + to play the 3ds games ?

1.Format your microSD card to FAT32 in Windows,and copy the 3ds game roms into the root of micro sd card , no diskwriter tool required any more.

2.Download the newest gamelist.bin(like a template file used by the old sky3DS card, will keep it updated constantly for new games later) from sky3DS.com,copy it into the root of your microSD card.

 

3. Insert the micro sd card into sky3ds +, then use the data usb to connect  to your computer. Then you will  see the red light flashes sky3ds + 10 seconds, then the green light flashes ten seconds, then turn off. (This process is to install the kernel) when the green light is off, then you can open the removable disk. and then delete the firmware.bin because the kernel has been installed .

 

4. Then move the sky3ds + from the computer and insent the 3ds console ,then you can the 3ds game icon on the meau ,then you can  enjoy the 3ds games .

5.If you want to check what is the files exist when you during playing the 3ds games ,you can take out the sky3ds + and connect it to the computer again , Opens the removable disk, you will see  more setting.txt  and file names correspond game .sav file. Double-click the file to open setting.txt will find two strings of code, the first row represents the kernel version, the second row is turned .cfg file (.Open the settings.txt, set the CREATE_PER_GAME_SETTINGS = 1(default 0, can change it anytime later) and save it, a .CFG file will be created in your microSD card after a game has been played, it includes the specific info for that game(CART_ID,FLASH_ID...), you can build you own .CFG file for playing a new game(or an online game) later if you know how to get those info properly, which means you don't have to wait for the updated gamelist.bin file by our site, the .CFG file has a higher priority than a gamelist.bin file.)

About The Firmware Upgard ?

sky3DS+ will come with the newest firmwareV4(FIRMWARE_VERSION=4 in the settings.txt, you don't need to do any update at the moment), we will keep it updated on our site if needed.

1.Download the updated firmware.bin from sky3DS.com, and copy it into the root directory of your microSD card.

2.Insert your microSD card into sky3DS+, connect your PC and sky3DS+ with a USB cable(come with, which can also work as a USB Adapter once connection built).

3.The LED red light will turn on for 10 seconds, then turn to the green light and keep flashing for 10 seconds, once the light turn off it means the sky3DS+ has been updated successfully.
Alert: Never unplug the USB cable while the green light keep flashing, it might damage your sky3DS+ card!

4.Delete the firmware.bin file in your microSD card.
