How to use SkyDock and sky3ds+ V140 to get pirvate header from Monster Hunter XX for online play?

Maybe most of players have known, recently, sky3ds team released a new product, named "SkyDock". This is an adapter worked with sky3ds+. It enable you to get the private header from your original 3DS game card and play online games properly.

SkyDock Features:

•  Build your own private header file for online game play (the original 3DS game card needed);
•  Read the original game saved data directly;
•  Dump any original game card to .3DS file format

First, you need to update your sky3ds+ to the latest firmware V140
Copy the file V140 firmware.bin to the FAT32 microSD card, and insert to sky3ds+, then connect with PC. The update is finished after the red light flash about 30 seconds. It's same as the method of firmware upgrade. 

How to use?
 1. Insert the updated sky3ds+ and 3DS original cartridge to the slot of conventer. Then connect sky3ds+ to your PC with USB cable, there will flash blue light, and a new savekeys.txt file will be created automatically in microSD card, this is used for saving private header.

 2. Press orange button, the red light will flash for a seconds, then two files (.cfg and .sav) will be created in microSD card, it's readed from the original cartridge. The save date can be used directly with sky3ds+

 3. Press orange button again, don't release until the red light flash. It will keep some minutes then turn to green. After the green light disappear, a new .3ds file will be created automatically in microSD card, that is the game rom from original cartridge.
PS: The flash time depends on the game size, the bigger game, the longer time, please wait with patience. Don't remove the USB cable when the processing, or else the rom will can't be load.
Note: The created.cfg file only support the current game rom connected to the Internet. If you want to ensure the other games can also be connected to the Internet, please open savekeys.txt file, then copy GAMESAVE_KEY to settings.txt file.

How to upgrade sky3ds+ firmware to V130 and play Pokemon Sun/Moon?

Sky3DS+ firmware V130 [02/13/2017]

Change logs:
1.The new AP check issue fixed.
2.exFAT support added. 
3.Upgrade from FAT32 SD ONLY!(this will always be FAT32) 


It has passed some days since sky3ds team released this news on it's official site, and it's discussed very hotly at each forum. After observation and research, i upgrade my sky3ds+ to firmware V130, and it's confirmed Pokemon Sun/Moon works very well. Here i'd like to share the steps with yours.

How to update sky3ds+ firmware to V130?
1. Format your microSD card to FAT32, then download firmware V130.zip from sky3ds official site and extract it. Copy the firmware.bin to the root ditectory of your microSD card.
2. Insert your microSD card into sky3ds+card, connect sky3ds+ to your PC with USB cable
3. The red light will flash about 30-40 seconds, then turn to the green light and keep flashing for 10 seconds. Son't remove the USB cable until thelight turn off.
4. Delete the firmware.bin file in your microSD card, firmware update success.

 How to use sky3ds+ to play Pokemon Sun/Moon?
Step 1. Connect PC, update your sky3ds+ to the latest V130 firmware
Step 2. Download Pokemon Sun/Moon rom from reliable sources, make sure it's no modified and edited. Then copy it directly to the FAT32 microSD card. As the new firmware V130 supports exFat, it means you can put rom over 4GB to your microSD card and there is no need to trim.
Step 3. Innsert the microSD card to sky3ds+, then insert it to your 3DS console.
Step 4. Power on, the game icon will appear on the screen, press A, now you can enjoy the game.
 NOTE: Please remember to insert a bulit-in SD card to your 3DS, it's very important, or it can't run.

A. Use 414

1. Download some 3DS roms and copy to the root directory of microSD card, then plug into EZ FLASH Redux flashcard

2. Download EZ FLASH Redux firmware, extract and copy .dat file to the root directory of microSD card which built-in your 3DS/2DS console.

3. Boot up your console, click setting option, then 414, just like the below picture shown, EZRedux menu will appear.

4. Insert EZ-FLASH Redux flashcard to the console, click the first option "BOOT EZ Redux MODE" on EZRedux menu.

5. After a short black screen, 3DS/2DS will return to the main interface automatically. Press select button, a game list will pop up on the screen. Choose one and press A, the game can be loaded.

B. Use A9LH

1. Download some 3DS roms and copy to the root directory of microSD card, then plug into EZ FLASH Redux flashcard
2. Download EZ FLASH Redux firmware, extract and copy .dat file and luma file to the root directory of microSD card which built-in your 3DS/2DS console
3. Rename the bin to _ezr.bin or keep the default down_ezr.bin.
    For example, if you want to run Launcher by press left button when you open the console, you can rename it to left_ezr.bin
4. Press the left button and power key at the same time, A9LH will run Launcher automatically.
5. Press select button, a game list will pop up on the screen. Choose one and press A, the game can be loaded.
